I arrived into Hamburg Hbf via train today (yesterday, Saturday) after spending the week in London and Amsterdam. My host family met me on the platform with the sign pictured above! :) They told me that Hamburg was especially busy today because it was one of the first warm days following a very cold March.

My host family includes Peter and Julika, their two sons, and their puppy, Benny. This evening we went to a German restaurant showing the Dortmund-Bremen soccer game, and I ate some delicious schnitzel for dinner. I also learned that my host brothers attend a Waldorf school, which would be fun to visit. I feel very comfortable and welcome and am looking forward to my time here!
